The Good Stuff

Another Friday, another dinner in Palm Springs! I finally had a chance to wear the Miu Miu's I posted pictures of a while back. I would love to wear them out but they are suede and drunk people + suede= :(
Case in point: The first time I wore my gray suede ankle strap YSL's out, a drunk girl sat at our table and poured her  Screwdriver all down my leg! Good thing I had sprayed scotch guard on them!
Anyway, tonight I think the necklace tied it together perfectly and I got a million compliments on it! So sweet... Another first in the outfit is my skirt, it is on long-term loan from my sister and I just adore it! There are loops for a belt but I didn't have one that worked with the outfit today... The only problem is, it wrinkles so fast!

Garden Party.

Today was a lovely day! I went to lunch with a couple girlfriends I haven't seen in a while at one of my favorite spots, Backstreet. Always delicious and they know what I want even with weeks between my visits! After a couple hours of gossiping and chatting, I had to take advantage of the first day of warm weather this week and work on my tan.
My goal for this month is to: 1. tan, tan, tan, So I look like the true CA girl I am, 2. Buy a new purse to obsessively wear (instead of the Balenciaga), 3. NEW SUNGLASSES!!
Sunglasses should be at the top of that list; I am getting far too bored with the ones I have and I think the SP10 Prada's would be a nice addition, or maybe some Karen Walkers?? I'll have to go on a hunt soon!

Last night we went to dinner for my Grandpas 89th birthday! My Poison shirt is fitting, no? I love a good vintage tee find and this one doesn't disappoint... It even reads "Poison Security" on the back..

City Slicker

Tonight I went with my friend Jessica to see Ricky Gervais at the Nokia Theatre. Have you even been to LA Live? It's a newish development at the Staples Center with lots of restaurants including Katsuya, Flemmings, and Yard House and there's a Lucky Strike bowling alley too! It's a neat place and a decent attempt to try and clean up downtown LA but they still have a lot of work to do...
Anyway, I have loved Ricky Gervais for a while now and was stoked when I saw he was doing a couple shows in LA. He was absolutely hilarious and I definitely recommend you see him if the opportunity ever presents itself!

Bulletproof.

Friday my brothers and I took a quick trip to Vegas. We went to Vanity at The Hard Rock Hotel and we always have a great time! Our friend Belinda from Zurich, Switzerland found some cheap flights and wanted to go, hence, we go. I only brought two outfit choices because I didn't want to check a bag at the airport, and jeans were not an option. Normally when I wear skirts, tights are a must, but I have been feeling more comfortable with myself and decided to go bare! I've had the skirt for a couple years and it doesn't quite hang right, plus it could stand to be a size or so smaller.

The Chanel tattoos are back! I can't even begin to tell you how many people commented on them, and they were mostly older people who either thought it was a neat tattoo or just bracelets that stayed in place really well, ha! Anyway, I copied 5 Inch and Up who I just love, when decided the design this time...

I met up with my friend Erin today for lunch and some thrift store shopping. We found a gem of a store called Hobo's Vintage and I got an amazing hippie/ Sgt. Pepper type vest that was made in Pakistan. It reminded me of something the lovely Erin Wasson might wear...
I have quite the busy weekend ahead of me and hopefully a lot of photos to follow!
