Take A Ride on King's Highway.

With New York and London fashion weeks all just past and Paris just begun, there is far too much inspiration out there my mind is on overload. Not to mention all the other happenings that occur in one life. Too much to handle.
Lucky for me, and I say that with the utmost sincerity and seriousness, I leave in less than 2 days to go back to Europe. It's looking like it will be quite the great trip. Going back to my favorite places to see some of my favorite people. CAN'T WAIT!!

The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is always a hoot. Coachella season or not. It's the cat's meow.

on me: Topshop corduroy jumper & flatforms, Urban Outfitters silk cami, Michael Kors watch

on Molly of Riff-Raff: H&M trens blouse, vintage cutoffs

Basic-ly Neutral.

So it's some sort of unwritten rule that one shouldn't wear black to baby showers... or bridal showers.. or any showers for that matter.  Right? However, this is a very difficult rule to follow when all I own or am known to wear is black. It is a 'Trista-essential'. Soooooo when I needed an outfit today for a friend's baby shower located in sunny San Diego, you can understand my frustration when I go to my largely black and gray hued closet to begin that tumultuous task of finding an appropriate outfit.
Fortunately, I found this sweater placed ever so neatly on the floor. Hey, we can all relate right? Too many clothes not enough closet space?!  And this skirt which, yes, was actually tucked into a drawer, and these heels, these lovely towering embroidered heels, that seemed to fit just perfectly. I rarely wear them, I think this is the 4th time now but I have a renewed love for them (sorry Erin!).
By the way, before you wear a wool/cotton blend sweater, check the weather. They get hot. Real hot.

on me: Zara knit sweater, JCrew velvet skirt & necklace, Topshop heels, Gucci 'Hysteria' bag, vintage Gianfranco Ferré sunglasses
on Erin: Target blouse, Forever 21 skirt & belt, Saltwater sandals, Linda Farrow x The Row sunglasses

*I think I need my own pair of Saltwaters... they've really grown on me. Maybe in white?? Or black, duhh.

A Month of Memories.

An overload of disposables from my Eurotrip last month. From the day I landed in London on August 2 to the day I left London on August 29th, I visited and drove through 8 countries in all. England, Spain, France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Belgium. We drove from Paris to Sweden and back in just 2 weeks. I spent the big 2-5 in Copenhagen at one of my new favorite places in Europe: The Tivoli Gardens. It is quite the magical place and actually, Walt Disney's inspiration for Disneyland!!
Driving on the autobahn is an experience like no other and I highly recommend it for any of you thrill seekers.
The 1st bit of pictures were taken in Ibiza, Spain.. where the water is crystal clear and the sand is pure white. Paradise. Minus the men in speedos. It's also the party capital of the world...

Sweden!

Copenhagen :)

and back to my home away from home.. LONDON!

I'm actually heading back in just over a week. CAN'T WAIT!

this or that?

the decisions one decides to make between the hours of 1-4am are always the most important and deadly. and sometimes irrational. often times they're the best decisions we ever make too.

The Good Life.

When a blogger stays in a hotel for an entire week by themselves, it is only a matter of time till self portraits in mirrors are taken. It is also only a matter of time until the room looks as though someone actually lives in house.. clothes thrown everywhere, empty bottles of water here and there, countless TopShop and Selfridges bags, and enough venti Starbucks cups to stock the store for a day. I'm a firm believer that a hotel room doesn't need to be serviced everyday. I don't need fresh towels and linens, while pleasant, it's  complete waste. Plus, dare I risk having my s#*t stolen?! Hellz nah!

I'm still in the process of getting my disposables developed but soon they'll be posted here!
Here's me on my last night in London.. went and saw Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, such a great play and then out for some dancing. It was Carnival in London so we had our faces painted! Too fun :)

Topshop sweater, H&M trend collection blouse, JBrand jeans, A. Wang bag
