New York City!

My brother and I leave later today New York and I'm too excited! I should be packing right now but I am a huge procrastinator so I'm on the computer instead.... I should be an expert packer by now but alas, I am completely stumped on what I should bring. I'll be doing too much shopping (hopefully) but I'll need good outfits to shop in and items to go with the newly purchased ones! It's 2:45 am and I have class in the morning too! EEEEEK!

I'm happy it's still semi-cold here in southern california... cold enough to wear my faux fur I haven't pulled out in years! Lucky for me when it reaches 80º here next week, I'll be busy shopping in chilly NYC!

Amanda Seyfried in Armani Prive is fantastic. I think it is a twist with some edge on a timeless look and she pulls it off great. Her stacked bangles and cocktail ring add just enough oomph to finish it off. Do I spy taupe nail polish too?? So great.

The pictures below are ones that I have taken from some of the travels I have had been fortunate enough togo on. Just a couple that I really like. One that I am super proud of is the Arc de Triomphe in Paris at night. 

 It's really fun to photograph children (I was going to say "shoot", but that sounded a little off...) Adults can be fun but it's hard to get people to relax when they aren't used to being in front of the camera. Most of the time I just end up shooting things that inspire me or pop out at me. A lot of times it doesn't turn out the way I'd like, but I'm just having fun with it and still learning.

It seems like the only place I've been lately is Palm Springs; which I must say is definitely alright with me. Another mom and daughter trip... we had dinner at our favorite Las Casuelas and today we co-hosted a couple of tables at a luncheon that benefitted the Palm Springs Desert Museum. I wish I would have taken more pictures!! (Mom's are always right!)

Today at the luncheon, they had something called "Shop Your Friends Closet". People brought some items to sell and the money went to the museum... I found this Chanel purse and while it may not really be my style, at all, I couldn't pass it up. It was a decent price and since it was for a good cause I figured why not? The color is great for spring 2010 and with the right outfit, I think I can make it work with my style. Hopefully.

Another quick day trip to Palm Springs today to get some things done. I just love it there. Today was especially beautiful! I was actually getting a little too warm in the sun... I love how the city is tucked up against the mountains and there is such a small town feel to it! It's starting to live up to it's old nickname of "Hollywood's Playground" again which is all too exciting! 

I wasn't feeling so great today but it's been a couple days since I've posted and I just love the setting here!

How adorable is this car? My mom and I stopped at a local car auction that will be taking place this weekend and we found too many that we wanted to take home... I just love the color and look. It's a 1944 Willys-Overland... I don't think I've even seen one before.
